Extensive search- and sort functions are available to enable Inmarsat monitoring without the need of other additional programs or tools. Selection on all EGC's is possible to show all Navigation and Meteo messages in good order. Even here is no special receiver or an IF output requested, a scanning receiver with SSB demodulator is all you need to start. A modern software receiver like the famous SDR-14, preferred by our company, makes monitoring (and life) much easier, in our case it is connected to an wideband IF output of the VHF receiver and shows a part of the SAT spectrum as a panoramic display and receiver.
